Can I edit a DAT file by hand?
Section titled “Can I edit a DAT file by hand?”No. DAT files follow BIR Alphalist v7.4 byte-for-byte, and hand edits break the checks BIR’s own validation module runs (rate conventions, totals cross-checks). Regenerate from your data instead.
Why is my rate showing as 10.00 in the DAT but 0.10 in the app?
Section titled “Why is my rate showing as 10.00 in the DAT but 0.10 in the app?”They’re the same rate in two prescribed representations: the app shows rates as fractions (0.10), while BIR’s DAT format requires whole-percent (10.00). The export converts for you — never hand-adjust it.
Are the form samples in these docs real?
Section titled “Are the form samples in these docs real?”No. Every sample is labelled “Mock example — do not submit” with placeholder/redacted TINs and names.
Is eKapital CAS-accredited?
Section titled “Is eKapital CAS-accredited?”CAS readiness is built in — the books of accounts, prescribed headers, and audit export the BIR expects. See Recordkeeping & audit.
How are 2316/2307 certificates delivered?
Section titled “How are 2316/2307 certificates delivered?”PDF by email attachment by default; a signed, revocable public share-link serves 2307 download and 2316 e-sign without a login. See Withholding tax.
