Prepare Your CAS Registration Package

Last updated: 2026-07-09 Summary:

  • eKapital generates the CDR documents you submit to register it as your Computerized Accounting System with the BIR.
  • You choose a sample period and audit-file date range, download the documents individually or as one ZIP, and submit them to your RDO.
  • When the RDO issues your Acknowledgment Certificate (AC), record it in eKapital so the AC number prints on your invoices.
  • CAS features are available to Philippine tenants on a plan that includes CAS Books of Accounts.
  • Read Computerized Accounting System (CAS) and Books of Accounts for what a CAS is and why it is registered.
  • RDO requirements vary and change — confirm the current CAS registration checklist with your RDO or CPA before you submit. eKapital produces the documents; the RDO decides what it needs.
  1. Go to Tax → CAS Registration (/tax/ph/cas-registration).
  2. The status card shows where you are — Not Registered, Submitted, AC Received, or Revoked — as a stepper.
  3. Note the reminders: the system prints the AC number on invoices only once status is AC Received, and there is an annual review to keep on your calendar.
  1. From the CAS Registration page, click Preview & Generate Package (or go to /tax/ph/cas-registration/package).
  2. Review the document checklist. eKapital generates:
    • System Description and Process Narrative
    • Sample reports for the six BIR-prescribed books
    • A Reports Catalog
    • The Standard Audit File (SAF) package with its layout description
    • The standard annexes, including the Joint Sworn Statement
  3. Set the sample period dates — the period the sample reports and sample data are drawn from. eKapital defaults to the most recent complete fiscal year, which is what the BIR typically expects.
  4. Set the SAF date range for the audit-file export (again, usually the most recent complete fiscal year).
  5. Download either each document individually to inspect it, or the Complete CDR Package (ZIP) for submission. The checklist shows how many documents are ready.
  1. Submit the package to your RDO following their current process.
  2. When the RDO issues your Acknowledgment Certificate (AC), return to the CAS Registration page, click Edit, set the status to AC Received, and enter the AC number and issuance date.
  3. Set the annual review due date so eKapital can remind you before it lapses.
  4. Confirm the status card now shows the AC as active — from this point the AC number prints on your tax invoices.
  • Submitting before the sample data is representative. The sample period should contain real, posted transactions across the books — an empty or partial period makes for a weak package.
  • Forgetting to record the AC. Until the status is AC Received with an AC number on file, invoices fall back to the older ATP reference. Enter the AC as soon as the RDO issues it.
  • Losing track of the annual review. CAS registration carries an ongoing review obligation; set the review date so the reminder fires ahead of time.
  • Assuming the ZIP is the whole job. The package is what you submit; the RDO’s current checklist governs what else they may ask for. Confirm it first.
